Sacramento Buddhism Meditation | Vajrayana Dharma Group
"The purpose of our lives is to be happy." His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama
Khandro Ling is a Sacramento Buddhism meditation group. Meditation is proven to reduce stress. It also improves concentration. Daily meditation leads to an overall sense of well-being. It starts with calm abiding. This is a key step to the path of liberation. Liberation from what? Liberation from suffering. No one wants to suffer. Everyone wants to be happy. We are the same in that. Khandro Ling offers classes that provide the skills to liberation. Check out "Change Your Mind / Change Your Life" for the next class.
A Small Buddhist Nun's Large Vision
The Buddha's teachings are to be practiced in relation to daily life. By hearing, reading and practicing the teachings we can change our life. We can change our future. Venerable Tenzin's vision is to provide space for Sacramento Buddhist meditation classes. Are you interested in learning more than just meditation? Traditional Buddhist philosophy is offered at Khandro Ling.
2018 UPDATE
Venerable Tenzin entered a year long solitary meditation retreat on 12/28/2017. Public teachings will resume at Khandro Ling January 2019. Sign-up for our email newsletter to receive future updates on when classes will resume.
Sacramento Buddhism Meditation
The Sacramento Buddhism meditation community has grown. Today there are many traditions being offered. It is okay to "shop around". It is important to find an authentic teacher. These teachings have been passed down from Buddha to student for 2500 years. All the way to His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama, to Ven. Tenzin's teachers today. How do you know if you have met an authentic teacher? They have a living teacher they report to. Even His Holiness has living teachers. Most monks and nuns train under a teacher. They practice the teachings given by authentic lineage masters. This is the path Ven. Tenzin follows.
Dharma Support
The Buddha's teachings are meant to be given freely. Donations are needed to keep these teachings available. If you would like to support this vision please contact Ven. Tenzin. You can also find her on Facebook. Or, speak with one of the staff at any of the events. Donations are very appreciated . . . a blessing for the giver.
In 2014, Ven. Tenzin's teachers blessed Khandro Ling. In July 2015 the Articles of Incorporation were filed making it a non-profit church.
